It is cold outside, and we are in for several inches of snow. I want to begin with the special weather announcement. Sunday, January 25, all in-person events are canceled. We want to stay off the roads for our own safety and out of the way so those doing the cleanup can accomplish their jobs.

A brief virtual worship service with prayer, meditation, and communion will be streamed online at 10 AM. A recording of the brief service will be available after the live event concludes. Please continue to pray for Karen Johnson Yomen. In addition, John Irvin fell this week and broke several vertebrae in his neck, back, and ribs. He was transferred to Danville, and surgery is planned for Monday.

My friends, as you watch the snow this weekend. I pray it reminds us that God’s faithfulness is quiet, steady, and sure. When snow falls, it covers the worn and cluttered, not because the ground earned it, but because God sends it in its season. Psalm 147:16 tells us that just as God gives snow like wool, He also faithfully provides what His people need—rest, renewal, and reassurance. Storms may change our plans, but they do not change God’s promises. In the stillness of a snow-covered morning, the same God who governs the weather also watches over His people with unwavering care. His faithfulness falls fresh every day, often gently, always purposefully.
